Apart from the all- sided research task on medicinal materials, herbal drugs and modernization of traditional medicines, NIMM positively participated in the post-graduate training of natural medicinal material specialization during over 40 active years.

In recent years, along with Hanoi pharmaceutical University, Hanoi Medical University, Hochiminh pharmaceutical & medical University, Agricultural university N^o1…, NIMM participated in guiding tens of students for the implementation of graduate dissentation and in training the master and doctor degree.

The training of many PhD in Pharmacology and Medicinal material- traditional pharmacy specializations had contributed to the formation of pharmaceutical scientific staff.

Along with the domestic training, NIMM has promoted the bilateral training with the Asian countries and world wide countries. Many NIMM scientists have been sent to China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippine,… for the short- term training; to England, France, Australia ,…for the long- term training.

Annually, NIMM has received post- graduates from many countries such as: Laos, Cambodia, Mongolia .
